Bryden Scholarship Awarded to Taylor Romanchek
Washburn University awarded the prestigious Bryden Scholarship to Taylor Romanchek for the 2021-2022 school year. The Bryden Scholarship, provided by the Blanche Bryden Foundation, goes to one outstanding student from Shawnee County. The scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship, renewable annually.

Students, faculty and staff were invited to participate in monthly sustainability challenges. Thirty people took action in February to show their support for sustainability and the world around us.

The WU's Who of Washburn Students is one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs at Washburn University. Recipients of this award are engaged on campus, involved in community service and show leadership initiative. Students are nominated by a faculty or staff member and must have senior status with a 3.0 GPA. Thirty-six students were awarded WU's Who for the 2020-2021 school year.

Madison Farr is one of four Washburn University graduates to receive the spring 2020 Sibberson Award. The award is Washburn's highest academic honor, given to the highest-ranking members of the graduating class. Farr graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Sibberson awards are made annually, traditionally during commencement, with one award in December and four in May. For spring semester graduates, the highest-ranking member of the senior class from the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Applied Studies, the School of Business and the School of Nursing receives the award.
