Four students from Washburn University's spring 2018 graduating class were named as winners of the Sibberson Award. The Sibberson Award is a substantial monetary award established by the trusts of Erna Sibberson and Gretchen O.A. Sibberson. The purpose of the award is to honor the most deserving students selected among the highest-ranking members of the graduating class at Washburn University.

Twelve graduating students were recognized as Sibberson Award nominees. The Sibberson Award honors the highest ranking students in their graduating class. Students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Applied Studies, the School of Business and the School of Nursing at Washburn University are eligible for the Sibberson Award.

Washburn University is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 Business Plan Competition. The competition is for any Washburn University or Washburn Tech student to present their original business idea to a panel. Students can enter as individuals or teams. The top five entries win cash prizes. The Kansas Masonic Foundation, Inc., the charitable arm of the Grand Lodge of Kansas and Kansas Masons, recently announced they have awarded 27 scholarships to Washburn University students for the 2018-19 academic year. The scholarships, which range from $500 to $5,000, are awarded to graduating high school seniors and students already attending Washburn.

Washburn University student Shayla Conner has been awarded a scholarship from the Bronson Scholarship Fund.

Washburn University student Shayla Conner has been awarded the DoGood scholarship from the mass media department at the university. This scholarship is awarded to a student who is a mass media major with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Washburn University students participated in Books for Bods as a community service opportunity. Students are encouraged to participate in community service both on campus and in the Topeka community.

Washburn University student honorary society Nonoso has inducted new members. NONOSO is an alumnae women's honor society at Washburn University. The organization recognizes exceptional Washburn women based on their intelligence, creativity, personality, scholarship, leadership, moral integrity and accomplishment.

The PR Club, a Washburn University student organization, has been joined by new members. The PR Club is created to help the students of the mass media department learn more about PR by creating a larger network with alumni and professionals in the workforce.

Washburn University's Leadership Institute allows students to complete the Washburn Leadership Experience, earn a Leadership Studies, Leadership Studies Minor, and participate in leadership events and activities.

Washburn University volleyball added new players to its roster for the 2014 season. The Ichabods roster has nineteen players on it.

Washburn University is proud to announces the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 to 3.99.

Washburn University is proud to announce their President's List for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the President's List, a student must be enrolled in 12 hours of graded credits and earn a semester grade point average of 4.0.

Washburn University recognizes Shayla Conner for obtaining an internship with the Washburn University public relations department.
